On the 27th July 2006 Tiaho Trust and NorthAble jointly launched the new Disability Information Centre in Kaikohe.

The launch of the office was a great success with local Kaumatua, community leaders and disabled people from Whangarei and the Mid North attending.

This new office will be a great resource for the Mid-North community as fourteen Specialist Disability Information and Advisory Service (DIAS) organisations provide access to their services and information from this office.
