Sib Support NZ workshop Kaitaia
Published 01 February 2012, Posted in NorthlandOn March 17th Parent to Parent Northland are holding a Workshop in Kaitaia for children aged 8 to 18 who have a brother or sister with a health condition, disability or special/additional need.
This is a busy interactive day for siblings. Issues are discussed and feelings shared in a SibShop interspersed with team building games, theatre sports and lots of fun. The young people are supported by facilitators and leaders who also have brothers and sisters with special needs.
The criteria is that the children themselves don’t have health conditions etc. but please contact Carole Powell, Field Officer for Parent to Parent Northland if you know of someone who may not meet the criteria but would benefit from attending the workshop, we will assess on an individual basis.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
