Working for Effective Employment Relationships workshops
Hosted by the Whangarei Council of Social Services, and organised by the Workplace Wellbeing project group in conjunction with input from Department of Labour Mediation Service, this workshop discusses key issues relating to employment matters in community organisations.

The workshop is aimed at managers of community-based organisations, trustees of boards, committees and societies. The focus of the workshop is on developing and maintaining effective and positive employment relationships for people involved in working, or volunteering, on boards and committees, in the community sector.

Jane Stevens, Workplace Wellbeing Project Working Group Member says in the latest Monthly Newsletter of the Workplace Wellbeing Project.

” If we are going to move forward as a sector we need to develop more sustainable practices and negotiate more secure funding that allows us to pay people properly and provide them with real job security and meaningful career pathways”.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
