CCS Disability Action Northland Supported Employment Service Coordinators are having good success with placing disabled people into paid employment in Northland and welcome more referrals.

Please continue reading to find out about the criteria for accessing this great service.

Criteria for referral to the CCS Disability Action Supported Employment Service:

  • Client age must be aged between 16 & 65
  • Legally able to work in New Zealand
  • Have a disability (ies) that is/are likely to continue for a period of six months or longer, which requires support to address this barrier.

We are UNABLE to assist in the case of:

  • A person is still enrolled at school (although we also have a transition services which we may refer too).
  • The client is receiving ACC support
  • When a persons vocational services are provided for through the Ministry of Health as a consequence of de-institutionalisation.

I look forward to continuing to work together to secure a positive outcome for the people with disabilities we support in our Northland community.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
