Want to send a strong message to the Whangarei District Council and Northland Regional Council that discharging any untreated sewage into our pristine harbour is not on?

Come and join the public march and meeting on Friday 12th December!

PUBLIC MARCH: Friday 12 December 2008.  March with the Public of Whangarei and New Zealand. 11.30am – Gather at Laurie Hall Park (Farmers car park)

Start marching at 12pm:  Laurie Hall Park – to – Rathbone Street – to – Rust Avenue – to – District Council (Public Meeting) – to – Caflar Park (Concert)

PUBLIC MEETING:  Venue - Public Library Entrance (under the canopy)

Express your concerns about the pollution of your Harbour.

Present Whangarei District Council and Northland Regional Council with a public Petition against granting the consent to Whangarei District Council to discharge any untreated sewage into our harbour or our waterways.

“If the harbour is healthy, then the people are healthy.”
“Ka ora te moana, Ka ora te Iwi.”

CONCERT:  Venue – Caflar Park

Local Entertainers and Speakers to enhance a positive focus and drive towards restoring the health and well being of the Whangarei Harbour.
“The Harbour is the Heart of Whangarei.”

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
