Loren CorbettHello Everyone

This is my last day working at the Tiaho Trust, as of today as I am embarking on a new phase in my life… a University Student!!

Yes, soon I am moving to the mighty Waikato to begin studying towards a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science with a mixture of Philosophy and Screen and Media Studies thrown into the mix!

I am rather excited about this new adventure. However I do wonder about how I will adapt to life outside of a community that I have always found accessible and surrounded by the support of friends and family.

I am fortunate enough to be staying in an accessible hostel very close to the University but I do wonder how I will find getting around the University itself?

Between studying, lectures and tutorials hopefully I will be able to update you about how I am going. I will also be continuing to put the spotlight on people within our community leading exciting lives.

I wish everyone the best for whatever you have planned throughout 2010

Best,
Loren Corbett.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
