DSRG logoAn Invitation to “Keeping Yourself Safe” from the DSRG

Do you or someone in your family have a disability or are you an older person living in your own home?

The Disability Sector Reference Group (DSRG) has organised a forum aimed at providing you with practical information to keep yourself safe.

Representatives from NZ Fire Service, NZ Police, St John Ambulance, Civil Defence, Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth and Citizens Advice Bureau will each give a short presentation on ways you can safeguard yourself legally and physically.

At the end of the presentations, there will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

When: Thursday 19 November 2009
Time: 9.30 am – 9.55 am Registration / Morning tea
10.00 am – 12.30 pm Presentations and question time

Venue: Cafler Suite, Forum North
Rust Ave, Whangarei

Panel: NZ Fire Service, NZ Police, St John Ambulance, Civil Defence Emergency Management, Henderson Reeves Connell Rishworth and Citizens Advice Bureau

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
