Free Epilepsy Seminar

Epilepsy Northland is holding a free seminar to people interested in learning more about Epilepsy. 

This course is suitable for all those who have contact with anyone with epilepsy, whether as a person with epilepsy, a whanau member, a carer, teacher, youth or church worker.

Come and empower yourself to be proactive in supporting those you know with epilepsy

When: January 12th 2009 from 10am - 12noon
Where: Epilepsy Northland Office, Room 17 Town Hall, Bank St., Whangarei

Topics to be covered include: What is epilepsy? What causes it? Who gets it? Types of epilepsy, first Aid for seizures, seizure management, recognition of epilepsy, social implications of epilepsy, anti-epileptic drugs, their use and management.

This is a free seminar, participants will recieve an attendance certificate.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
