Do you know of a young person who would thrive on the chance to shine on stage, or just try out singing, dancing, playing the guitar or drums?

StarJam is a non-profit organisation which lives the belief that young people with disabilities have many talents and attributes that others in the wider community can be inspired by and learn from. StarJam is soon to launch Term Two of its 2009 programme of CoolJam workshops across Auckland and in Whangarei and we would love to offer this opportunity to any young person under the age of 25 who is interested.

CoolJam workshops focus on a particular art form, such as hip hop, drumming, singing, dancing or guitar. They have a maximum of ten participants, with a dedicated tutor and volunteer.
Jazzy Jammers
The workshops run from 6.30pm to 8pm on weeknights, with the second term of workshops running for 8 weeks. The CoolJam workshops are about creating a mini-community where young people’s talents will emerge in time.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
