Autism Spectrum Disorder Meeting
Published 02 September 2008, Posted in NorthlandIf you have an interest in Autism Spectrum Disorder or have a family member or friend with ASD you might like to come along to the next Autism Spectrum Disorder Regional Network Meeting to find out about the services available in Northland and to hear Clinical Psychologist Tanya Breen who specialises in this field talk about ASD Assessment and Diagnosis of young people and adults.
AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER REGIONAL NETWORK MEETING
To be held on Thursday 25 September at 10.00am
Venue: Northland Cricket Assoc Inc rooms, Okara Drive Whangarei
This meeting is open to all people with an interest in ASD who would like to:
- Find out about the Altogether Autism service, its development to date and meet some of the team.
- Listen to a guest speaker presenting on an ASD topic
- Hear about the NZ ASD Guidelines
- Talk about exciting development/services/programmes happening in the region
- Feedback issues and gaps in services
- Network with others and make connections
- Raise awareness about Autism Spectrum Disorders
Our guest speaker is Tanya Breen, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Consultant to Altogether Autism. Tanya has 20 years of experience working as a clinical psychologist specialising in the field of intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Tanya was one of the workstream leaders for the NZ ASD Guidelines.
Tanya will be speaking on Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment and Diagnosis of young people and adults

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
