Hi Everyone!
I know it has been ages since I have updated you all on what I has been happening.

I am now living in Hamilton studying Politics, Philosophy and Media! Absolutely loving the challenge and the change of scenery!

The Hostel that I am staying at is amazing, filled with great people, pretty good food and I have found just about everything accessible.  The positive aspect is that if something is not accessible, everyone there is willing to help.

The academic aspect of University has been rather successful, passing each paper with either A’s or B’s. I am looking forward to the next semester in which I will pick up my media papers, as well as doing a second year paper for an extra challenge.

At University I have seen many other people with disabilities studying to reach their goals in life, and it has been truly inspirational watching them succeed as well!!

I recently appeared on the television program Attitude, as they documented my first days of moving to Waikato. At the end of this article there are the links to both sections of the story. It was a great experience and opportunity for me to share my story with many other New Zealanders and I hope that you enjoy watching it.

Until next time,
Loren Corbett

Really enjoyed the Attitude article Loren, you are settling in well and meeting loads of great people.  I’ll look forward to the next episode.

Minnie’s presentation on Be Accessibe was truly inspiring. disappointing to see those most in need of ‘enlightenment’ were absent….a great build up for the RWC and way beyond so up to those who did attend to be vocal! and spread the Be word!
