Equipment and Modification Services (EMS) is the system by which people of all ages, with a long term impairment, get equipment or modifications to their home or vehicle to enable them to be safe and independent in every day living activities. Equipment may include shower chairs, wheelchairs, walking frames, mobility canes, communication devices and hearing aids. The equipment is on loan to the person for as long as it continues to meet their needs.

Intellectual Disability Sector on Verge of Crisis

The National Residential Intellectual Disability Providers Group (NRID) is a national organisation comprising intellectual disability providers who support approximately 6,500 New Zealanders with an intellectual disability.

Paihia Fun run/walk

MoH Long Term Conditions Workshop
Published May 15th 2008, Posted in Northland / 2 CommentsThe purpose of the hui is to develop the relationship between the community and voluntary sector and the Ministry of Health, in the area of long-term conditions.
The hui will also provide an opportunity to up-date community and voluntary organisations working in this area on current projects in long-term conditions.
The Whangarei workshop is to be held on Thursday 12th June at Forum North, Cafler Suite 1 from 10am until midday.
