Andy - A Rising Star

Andy started writing poetry when he left school. He gets his inspiration from everyday activities and says that poetry enables him to describe the world through his eyes.
Andy is supported by IDEA Services, Whangarei who are helping him to achieve his dream of getting his poems noticed and hopefully published into a book.

‘Awesome’ surf experience breaks disability barriers

The 28-year-old, who a decade ago lost the use of his legs in a rugby accident, was one of about 20 disabled people who glided through the surf in front of Omanu Surf Life Saving Club.

Fatigue

Movement Rehabilitation Programme

Studio 2 Kensington Fitness (ASB Leisure Centre), Western Hills Drive has been specifically fitted out with exercise equipment, mats, handrails and heating to help assist the people who take part in this programme.

Balancing Life After Stroke

Eleanor is an amazing lady living with autism who has been supported by IDEA Services to realise her dream of writing and singing her own songs, putting together her own CD and performing locally.
After a bit of a chat, lots of laughs, a few tears and a music jam ‘And I love you’ was born two hours later.
